Alexander Michon was born in the Kharkov region of Russia.
He began his career in 1883 with a photo studio he founded in Kharkov. In 1884, he came to Baku to find work. His dream was to start a photography business there. In 1887, with the permission of the Baku governor, he began to engage in photography, and in 1891 he founded photography in Baku. He was the secretary of the Baku Scientific Photographic Society, a photographer, cinematographer and publisher. In 1890, the professional photographer, who was elected a photographer-member of the Paris National Academy, began shooting film subjects for the first time in Azerbaijan in 1898 with a movie camera he bought during one of his trips to Paris and founded the Azerbaijani cinematography. After moving to the city of Slavyansk in 1908, he began to publish the newspaper "Northern Donetsk Province" there. From 1913, he began to engage in photography and syncography in Kharkov and continued to engage in his favorite work, photography, until 1918.
Alexander Michon, who lived in Voronezh from 1918, died in Samara in 1921.
