Ayshad Mammadov was born in the Mardakan settlement of Baku. He studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1978-1982).

He worked at the Sheki State Theater (1982-1989), the Azerbaijan State Youth Theater (1989-2009). Since 2011, he has been working at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater.

He starred in the Iranian film “Lost Share” (2007, directed by Hasan Najafi).

He was awarded the Jafar Jabbarli Award (2017), and an award and diploma for the role of Judas in the play “Judas” at the International Monoplay Festival held in Varna (2017).

He is an Honored Artist (2000).

Actor Ayshad Mammadov is the husband of actress Ilgara Tosova.
