Boyukkhanim Aliyeva was born in Khachmaz.
She studied at the Faculty of Cinema and Dramatic Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1968-1973).
In 1973, she was assigned to the Lankaran State Drama Theater. She currently continues her work in this theater.
She is an Honored Artist (1979), People's Artist (2000).
Actress Boyukkhanim Aliyeva was the wife of actor Tavakkul Aliyev.
