Emil Najafov was born in Irevan.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (1996-2000).

He worked at the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1998-2002), as a line producer at “M group production” (2002-2004), executive director (2004-2006), producer at “No Problem” LLC (2006-2007), producer at “Made in Baku Production” (2007-2009), producer at “Ultra production” (2010-2022), deputy director of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio (2022-2024).

He was the executive director of the “Merc Show” and “Mashin Show” TV projects produced by “M group production”, and the organizer, producer and co-producer of the filming of many foreign films in the country.

The films he produced participated in various international festivals and were awarded prizes.

He is the founder of "Rental Azerbaijan" company and producer of "Ultra Production".
