Fatma Mahmudova was born in Aghdam.

She studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts as a theater collective director (1994).

Since 1968, she has worked at the Aghdam State Drama Theater. She lived in Baku as an IDP due to the occupation of the Aghdam region.

Since 1994, she has been working at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (now the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater).

She participated in the performances “Afag laughs and makes people laugh”.
