Fuad Shabanov

Fuad Shabanov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Directing Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1986-1991, Yuri Ozerov's course).
He worked as a director for several Russian television companies. He was the chief director of the Inter-AZ TV channel (1998-2001). He currently lives in Russia.
He worked as an assistant director in the US-made film "Destroyed Bridges" (1996, directed by Rafig Puya) and starred in the role of Ramiz. He is the director of the Russian-made TV series “The Ugly Duckling” (2011), “The Apple Orchard” (2011), “Love Without Words” (2013), “Unthoughtful Life” (2015), “Island of Prisoners” (2018), and the films “Game of War” (1988), “I Give Myself a Miracle” (2010), “The Last Sacrifice” (2012), “Forced Father” (2013), “This is My Father” (2021).
He has made numerous documentaries for various television channels.
Director Fuad Shabanov is the son of director Rufat Shabanov and actress Elmira Shabanova.
