The Melody Ensemble (Melodiya Instrumental Ensemble / Melody Firm Instrumental Ensemble) is a pop-jazz orchestra created in 1973 by Georgy Garanyan and Vladimir Chizhik at the All-Union Recording Company "Melodiya". Its composition was mainly composed of former members of the All-Union Radio and Central Television Concert Pop Ensemble, which was liquidated in 1973. The Melody Ensemble was liquidated in 1992 due to the liquidation of the All-Union Recording Company "Melodiya" and the cessation of financing.
