Nuhbala Guliyev was born in the Zira settlement of Baku.

He worked for more than 50 years in Azerbaijani television and radio. He was the idea creator and editor-in-chief of the "Screen of the Day" news program, which aired on Azerbaijani television in 1967.

Nuhbala Guliyev, a laureate of the "Golden Pen" award, died in 1998.
