Orkhan Abbasoff (Orkhan Abbasov) was born in Moscow.

He received a master's degree in cinematography from the EICAR Paris Film School in France (2015-2017).

He worked as a regional marketing manager for the Caucasus for Procter and Gamble (2011-2013), RedBull (2013-2014), and Samsung (2014-2015).

He headed the Debut Film Studio (2020-2021).

Since 2015, he has been continuing his professional film work in Paris and Baku.

He is the cinematographer of the short feature films “Samedi & Dimanche” (2017, director Tara Dabinovic / France, Monaco), “New York” (2018, director Laurent Jordy / France), “Astray” (2019, director Michelle Figueroa / USA, France), “Birth” (2019, France), “D8” (2020, director Inna Ouvaroff / France, Russia), “Illusion” (2022, director Egemen Kes / Turkey), “The End of Everything” (2023, director Umut Sakallıoğlu / Turkey), produced abroad, and the director of the short feature films “It’s Not That Hard” (2016, France), “Birth” (2019, France).

Since 2023, he has been teaching at the EICAR Paris Film School.
