Rasim Jafar (Rasim Jafarov) was born in Baku. He studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1996-2000, Aliabbas Gadirov's course).

In 1996, he appeared on stage at the Academic National Drama Theater in the episodic role of a courier. He worked for a year at the Drama Theater, then at the Pantomime Theater (1997-2002). He collaborated with the Ibrus and Yugh Theaters.

He starred in the foreign film producers' film "Russian Translation" (2006, director Alexander Chernyayev / Russia), in the role of David from the south in the film "The Missing Man" (2010, director Anna Fenchenko / Russia), in the role of Abel from Tabriz in the film "My Motherland" (2012, directors Nadir Sayever, Ali Taherfar / Iran) and in the film "Ali and Nino" (2015, director Asif Kapadia / Great Britain).

He has been an actor at the Young Spectators Theater since 2005.

He is an Honored Artist (2016).

Actor Rasim Jafar is the husband of screenwriter, actress, and casting manager Reyhan Jafar-Isayeva.
