Ruslan Ahiskali was born in Uzbekistan. In 1990, he moved with his family to the Sabirabad region of Azerbaijan, and shortly after to Siyazan.

He has been involved in sports since childhood. He is a three-time Azerbaijani champion in sambo. Due to an injury, he left sambo and switched to arm wrestling in 2009. He is a ten-time Azerbaijani champion in arm wrestling.

He works as an arm wrestling coach.

He acts in films.
