Siyavush Alkhazov (Seyavush Alkhazov) was born in Baku.

He arrived in the Oil Rocks in 1959 on assignment. He devoted 50 years of his life to offshore geophysics. He defended his dissertation at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and received the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (1998). He is the author of about 160 scientific and technical works: 8 are inventions, 5 are rationalization proposals, 30 are research works, and 32 are scientific reports.

He was engaged in pedagogical activities in secondary general education, technical and vocational, secondary specialized, higher schools and in the system of advanced training, as well as at Baku State University.

In the Oil Rocks, he also worked as a correspondent in the local radio studio “Voice of the Caspian” and in the numerous newspaper “Neft Dashlari”.

He produced the radio magazine "Khazar", the radio newspaper "Deniz neftchisi", the news program "Dalga", music programs and other programs.

He has been involved in cinema since 1973. In 1975, he founded and managed the "Khazarfilm" film studio for amateurs in Neft Dashlari.
