Zabit Samedov was born in the Gardabani region of Georgia. At the age of 10, he moved to Minsk, Belarus.

He started playing sports at the age of 9, first for 6 months with karate, and then with Muay Thai. Since 1998, he has continued his sports at the famous Chinuk GYM sports club in Minsk. He became a world and European champion several times in his amateur career. Later, he turned to professional fighting.

He currently lives in Belarus.
