THE 8TH “ANIMAFILM” INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL OPENED
On September 3, the 8th “ANIMAFILM” International Animation Festival opened at the Shirvanshahs Palace Complex. The festival was organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association and “PERI FILM” LLC with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Cinema Agency, as well as the “Icherisheher” State Historical and Architectural Reserve Department.
The main event of the festival opening was the screening of the animated film “Tales from the Magic Garden”, produced by the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and France.
Rashid Aghamaliyev, director, producer of the “ANIMAFILM” International Animation Festival, chairman of the Azerbaijan Animation Association: “The theme of “ANIMAFILM-2025” is “Cats”. 317 films from 62 countries have registered for the festival in 4 international and 1 local category.”
The 8th "ANIMAFILM" International Animation Festival will feature screenings of animated films, events, master classes, meetings with foreign and Azerbaijani experts, presentations and quizzes. The festival will last until September 7.
