A CLOSED SCREENING OF DIRECTOR SEYRAN MAHMUDOGLU'S NEW FILM HAS BEEN HELD

On September 5, a closed screening of the full-length documentary film “Evim” by director Seyran Mahmudoglu was held at the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan. The event, moderated by Kamran Gasimov, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan, director, screenwriter, and executive director of “AzerNewMedia”, was attended by the film’s creative team, film critics, and professional cinematographers.
“Evim,” a reflection of the author’s personal story, is about an attempt to restore a lost paradise and the realization that this is impossible. The film, shot over a period of eight years at regular intervals, tells the story of Larisa, who lives in the village of Alekseyevska, Khachmaz region, and Nina, who left the village after the collapse of the USSR and returned to Alekseyevska, where she spent her childhood, exactly thirty years later. The author tries to express his attachment to his childhood through the story of these two women, mainly Nina.
The world premiere of the film “Evim” took place on September 8, in Moscow, at the “Oktyabr” cinema, as part of the main competition of the DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival (September 4-9).
Baku film lovers will have the opportunity to watch the film at the 9th DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival. The film “Evim” will compete in the festival’s “DOKUTAM: Best International Full-length Documentary” competition.
The film, which is also produced by Seyran Mahmudoglu, is written by Esmira Eyyub, the cinematographers are Ali Sultanov, Zaur Allahverdiyev, Isgander Ganbarov, and the sound director is Hafiz Ibrahimli. The editing work is done by Seyran Mahmudoglu, Rza Askerov and Asker Rahimova, and the color correction is done by Alexander Melnikov and Elshan Aliyev.
