ANS (Azerbaijan News Service) ANS Independent Broadcasting and Media Company was the first private news television channel in Azerbaijan.
It first went on air on November 26, 1991 with the program "Xəbərçi". They turned a small room they rented in the building of the Azerbaijan State Television into a studio and began to implement their program ideas from March 2, 1992.
According to the decision of the National Television and Radio Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the broadcasting of the "ANS Independent Broadcasting and Media" Company was suspended from July 18, 2016 at 18:30. In general, ANS was closed 7 times during its activity. Since February 16, 2023, it has continued its activities as anspress.com.
