Khazarfilm film studio was organized in 1975 in "Neft Dashlari" (Oli Rocks) by Siyavush Alkhazov. Some of the films shot at this film studio in 1973-1978 were laureates of all-Union and international competitions.

Since 1978, by order of the Republican Council of Trade Unions, the “Khazarfilm” studio has been given the honorary title - “Khalg Ozfealiyyet Film Studio”. The studio has already been receiving orders to shoot TV series and films for republican-level events. Since 1992, “Khazarfilm” has ceased its activities.

After a long break, since 2011, “Khazarfilm” has continued its activities as a private film studio.
