Actress (2011)

With the help of bank employee Samad, who is impressed by her beauty and art, the young actress Lala finds a generous sponsor to perform her mono-play on foreign stages. But her acquaintance with this sponsor - the president of VEF Bank Vagif Fataliyev - goes beyond the scope of business relations. Vagif Fataliyev ends the forced family life that he was once supposed to start with the daughter of his father's close friend and marries Lala. But Vagif Fataliyev's "breaking his word and separating Lala from the stage, stealing her" develops the maximalism in the character of this girl, who has been subjected to misunderstanding since childhood, into an unmeasured adventure. She begins to use her acting potential on the stage of life and, without knowing it or wanting it, begins to play under the "direction" of the devil. The "happiness" of being the only spectator of the play falls to the writer Rufat Huseynzadeh. Banker Vagif Fataliyev is murdered in his summer house. During the investigation, two more murders occur one after the other, making it even more difficult to find the killer. Investigator Eldar Efendiyev believes that solving these murders depends on finding a code.
The film was shot in Bilgah, on the streets of Baku and in Ganja in August-October 2009.
The film is based on the novel "Actress" by Ilgar Fahmi.
