Aygun Aslanli (Aygun Aslanova) was born in Baku. She studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1996-2000).
She participated as a member of the jury at many international film festivals.
In 2023, she was elected chairman of the NETPAC jury of the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival (South Korea).
She regularly writes about cinema in the press.
She is a member of the editorial board of the analytical film magazine "Focus".
Her book "The Man in the Spacesuit" was published (2022).
