Aygun Hasanoglu was born in Gabala.

She studied at the philology faculty of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute.

She worked as a teacher at Gabala secondary school No. 2 (1989-1996), head of the literary and drama department at the Azerbaijan State Young Spectator Theater (1996-2002), referent at the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing and Hostages of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2002-2004), senior referent (2004-2007).

She has been engaged in creativity since 2007.

She defended his dissertation on the topic “Sheikh Shamil in Azerbaijani Literature” and received her PhD in philology (2008).

In 2009, she founded the “Scientific Research” Public Association and launched the “Armenia, return the prisoners and hostages” propaganda campaign.

She has been living in Turkey since 2012.

She is engaged in dramaturgy, screenwriting, prose writing and journalism. 8 of her plays have been staged, 9 books have been published, and more than 70 of her articles have been published.
