Lalazar Mustafayeva was born in the village of Gullar, Balakan.

She studied at the Directing Faculty of the Cultural Education Technical School (1980-1982), and at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1985-1990).

She was assigned to the Academic National Drama Theater.

She is also known as a master of artistic recitation.

Honored Artist (1998), People's Artist (2002).

Actress Lalazar Mustafayeva is the mother of actress Vusala Nabiyeva.
