Maryam Alibayli

Maryam Alibayli was born in Baku.
She studied at the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School in the Piano and Historical Theory department (1976-1987), and at the Baku Academy of Music Faculty of Historical Theory and Musicology (1987-1992).
She began writing stories, poems, and songs from high school. She worked in the music editorial office of Azerbaijan Television and as a music editor in the "Broadcasts to Foreign Countries" department on the radio (1993-2000). She was the music and script author and music editor of the television programs. In 1990, she brought Khayala Manafli to the stage as the first child singer who sang in the pop genre at the age of 5, and contributed to her formation as a music producer. Together with composer Natig Gazanfaroghlu, she founded the youth pop group "NM" in 2000, and in 2004, the first children's pop group in Azerbaijan, "Jan Bala", and became its artistic director. She was the creator and musical director of children's pop groups such as "Noghullar", "Gulan notlar", "Dostlar" (2005-2015). She worked as the artistic director of musical groups at the Azerbaijan State Children's Philharmonic (2004-2012), the Khatai District House of Culture (2011-2013), and the school-kindergarten educational complex No. 132-134.
She has composed more than 200 songs.
She is the author of articles about Azerbaijani music and musical figures.
Composer Maryam Alibayli is the wife of composer Natig Gazanfaroghlu.
