Namig Mana (Namig Aliyev) was born in Sumgayit.

He studied at the Faculty of Drama Theater and Film Actor of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.

He began writing poetry at the age of 10. He worked in the bediha (meykhana) genre, a branch of oral folk literature. He was the winner of the "De gelsin" poetry competition (2006). He was the author of the project "Sözum var, Sözun var?".

He is the chairman of the Gubadli regional branch of the Azerbaijani Youth Union, an employee of the Sumgayit regional department of the Ministry of Culture.

He is the author of several books and many poems.

He was awarded the "Taraggi" medal (2019). 

Meykhana performer Namig Mana is the brother of actor Alakbar Aliyev.
