Sakhavat Sahil was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (1999–2003), the Netherlands School of Journalism in Baku (2005), the Faculty of Creativity of Baku Slavic University (2012–2014), the Faculty of Turkish Language and Literature of Ardahan University, Turkey (2016–2018, master's degree).

He worked as a correspondent for the "Gün" newspaper (2000-2006), a correspondent in the News Department of Azad Azerbaijan Television (2006–2010), the head of the Atvxeber.az news website (2010-2014), and the online editor of the "Khazar" World Literature magazine (2014-2018).

He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the "Avangard.net" cultural portal (2012).

In 2014, he founded the "Avangard" literary magazine.

His poems, stories, and articles have been published in the press. Her poems have been translated into English, Turkish, Uzbek, Ukrainian, and Russian. He has published a book of poems called "Always and Never" (2009), a novel "The Woman of Jesus" (2014), and a collection of poems called "Songs of the Pomegranate Tree" (2019).

She currently works for Azerbaijani television.
