Aliya Teregulova was born in Tbilisi. She is from the famous Teregulovs (Tanrigulovs) family.
She has been regularly engaged in music since the age of ten.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Turkish Music Technical School (1930), the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1937).
She was a soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater (1932-1942), the Musical Comedy Theater (1942-1950) and the Young Spectators Theater (1950-1955), and an actor of the Vakhtangov Theater in Moscow (1955).
Honored Artist (1943) Aliya Teregulova died in Moscow in 1968.
