Azad Jafarov was born in Baku.

He studied at the Law Faculty of the Azerbaijan International University (2001-2005).

He worked as an editor on the programs "Milyonchu" and "Zaif Band" on Lider TV (2004-2007). Since 2007, he has been a director of Public Television. He was the director of video clips about Azerbaijan and the program "Khalg mahnilari".
