Azad Mammadov

Azad Mammadov was born in Shusha.

He studied in the kamancha class of the folk instruments department of the Shusha Secondary Specialized Music School (1980-1984), and in the faculty of the director of the amateur theater collective of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1988-1993).

For some time he worked as a teacher at the Shusha Secondary Specialized Music School. Since 1990, he has been an actor of the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater, and since 1994, he has also been its deputy director. He was the music composer of several performances.

He was awarded the “Golden Dervish” award (2002). He is an Honored Artist (2013).
