Aziz Mammadov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azimzadeh Art School (1969-1973), the Faculty of Art of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1985-1990).
Since 1976, he has been working at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.
He teaches at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
He is an Honored Worker of Culture (2011).
