Firangiz Sharifova (Firangiz Sharifzadeh / Firangiz Abbasova) was born in Baku.
She studied at the Baku Choreography School (1931–1941) and the Vocal Department of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1941–1947).
She began her stage career in 1947 as an actress at the Musical Comedy Theater. She worked for a while at the Academic National Drama Theater (1960–1965). From 1949 to 2011 (with some interruptions) she was an actress at the Young Spectators Theater.
Honored Artist (1958), People's Artist (1969), laureate of the "Golden Dervish" and "Humay" awards, holder of the "Shohrat" order, Firangiz Sharifova died in 2014 and was buried in the Alley of Honor.
Actress Firangiz Sharifova is the daughter of director and actor Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh and actress Marziya Davudova.
