Firudin Allahverdi

Firudin Allahverdi was born in Baku.
He studied composition at the Baku Academy of Music (1999-2003, Khayyam Mirzazadeh's class / 2005-2007, master's degree - Nazim Mirishli's class).
His works include piano music, preludes, variations, chamber music, sonatas, orchestral music, odes for orchestra and choir, theater music, and film music. He was named the best song and romance composer of the year among young people in a competition held by the Ministry of Sports and Youth (2002, 2006). He participated in the Stockhausen-Courses in Germany (2006). He won the 4th International Pre-Art Competition with his work "Paradoxes" (2008, Switzerland). His works are performed by local and foreign ensembles. He is the creator and artistic director of the "Yeni Hava" contemporary music ensemble. Along with his composing activities, he also occasionally writes articles in newspapers about current problems in Azerbaijani culture.
