Gulzar Gurbanova

Gulzar Gurbanova was born in Baku.

She studied at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1986-1990).

Since 1990, she has been working at the Yugh Theater.

Since 1995, she has been teaching at the Republican Art Gymnasium.

She starred in the series “Accident at the Airport” (1987, director Yusup Yuspov), produced by “Tajikfilm”, as Farida, and in the film “Missing Share” (2007, director Hasan Najafi), made by Iranian filmmakers, as Sanem.

For her role as Zhanna in the film “Incomplete Memories”, she was awarded the “Golden Fairy” award in the nomination “Best Actress” (2015).

She is an Honored Artist (2011).

Actress Gulzar Gurbanova is the wife of director and actor Elkhan Jafarov.
