Gunel Gafarova (Gunel Gafarzadeh) was born in Baku.
She studied directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2013-2017, master's degree-2023).
She worked as a director at the Narimanfilm studio (2019-2021), as a videographer at the Kontakt Home company. She participated in the production of various corporate films.
