Hikmat Rahimov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Drama and Film Actor Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (2004-2008).
He worked at the Yugh Theater (2009-2010) and the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater (2010-2018).
He is currently working as a director.
