Huseyngulu Sarabski (Huseyngulu Rzayev) was born in Baku.

He began his stage career in 1902 in Baku with the role of Rasul in the play “The Calamity of the Language”. Since 1908, he has been one of the founders of the “Muslim Opera Troupe” under the “Nijat” society and has been a soloist of the troupe. That same year, he sang the part of Majnun in the first Azerbaijani opera “Leyli and Majnun”. He is considered one of the founders of the professional musical theater of Azerbaijan.

Honored Artist (1926), People's Artist (1932) Huseyngulu Sarabski died in 1945 and was buried in the Alley of Honor.
