Izameddin Baghirov

Izameddin Baghirov was born in Nurs village of Shahbuz region.
He studied at the Department of Mass Performances Director of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1984-1990).
During his student years, he worked as a worker and employee of the music shop at the Youth Theater, performed in mass scenes and episodic roles. He underwent internship as a director at the Puppet Theater. Since 1991, he has been an actor and director of the Sumgait State Musical Drama Theater.
He is also engaged in translation, several plays he translated have been staged at the Academic National Drama Theater, Sumgait and Derbent State Theaters.
He was awarded the "Progress" medal (2004). He is an Honored Artist (2008).
Actor Izameddin Baghirov is the husband of actress Sadagat Nuriyeva.
