Javid Ahadov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azim Azimzade Art School (1984-1988) and at the F. Khitruk animation course at the USSR State Television and Radio in Moscow (1991-1993).
He has participated in local and international art exhibitions and film festivals. Since 1992, he has been working as an artist-animator at the Birlik studio. He was awarded the Golden Fairy award in the Best Animated Film nomination for the animated film "Old Clock" (2015).
