Kamila Babayeva was born in Baku.
She studied at Music School No. 2 (1983–1990), the Girls' College affiliated with Baku State University (1991–1993), and the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature (now Baku Slavic University; 1994–1998).
In 1993, she worked as a news anchor at ANS TV. Later, she worked as a presenter for various television channels.
