Mammadali Valikhanli (Mammadali Valikhanov / Mammadali Heydarzadeh) was born in the Fatmayi village of Baku.

While studying at the school under the “Safa” cultural and educational society, he was one of the main figures in the “Safa” theater troupe. Jahangir Zeynalov assigned him the role of Badal in the comedy “Haji Gara” (Mirza Fatali Akhundzade) he directed (1912). In 1920, he was accepted into the choir of the National Drama Theater. At that time, opera and operetta performances were also performed here. The actor, who sang in the choir in the operas “Leyli and Majnun”, “Asli and Kerem”, and “Shah Ismail”, gradually appeared on stage in silent roles in drama performances. While working in the theater, he continued his education at the Baku Theater Technical School (1927-1930). He was one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Musical Comedy Theater.

Honored Artist (1938), People's Artist (1949) Mammadali Valikhanli died in 1969 and was buried in the Second Alley of Honor.
