Masuma Babayeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1972).

While still a student, she performed in some performances at the Drama Theater as a child. She worked for a long time at the Theater of Young Spectators (1972-2026). She was awarded the “Artist” (2016) and “Progress” (2018) medals.

Masuma Babayeva died in 2026 and was buried at the Yeni Surakhani cemetery.
