Mirmahmud Kazimovski was born in the Bilgah village of Baku.

He studied at the three-grade Russian-Tatar school of Habib bey Mahmudbeyov.

He began his stage career at Jahangir Zeynalov's "Home Theater", and later worked in the theater troupe under the "Nijat" society. He worked at the Baku Turkish Free Criticism and Propaganda Theater. In 1921, he participated in the creation of a theater in Derbent. He was one of the first professional actors in Azerbaijan. He also performed in female roles at a time when there was no female cast. He directed many performances. He wrote several plays and vaudeville ("Molla Jabi", "Dashim-dashim", "Vurhavur"). For a while, in addition to teaching Russian language, drawing, singing, and arithmetic, he also taught sports in schools. He is the author of the first textbook on sports in Azerbaijan. He also drew about 200 pictures for the textbook himself.
