Nazakat Gaziyeva

Nazakat Gaziyeva (Nazakat Huseynova) was born in Baku.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute in the specialty of Cinema and Theater Actor (1956-1960, Mehdi Mammadov's course), at the St. Petersburg Institute of Theater, Cinema, and Musical Art in the Directing Course (1984, Georgy Tovstonogov's course), and at the Moscow Institute of Theater Arts in the advanced course (1987).
She worked as a leading member of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic (1957-1962). Since 1962, she has been working as a director-pedagogue at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. She was the head of the department for 10 years. She has written more than 30 scientific research works, programs on directing and acting, scientific and methodological aids, teaching aids, and textbooks. She is a professor. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, chairman of the Artistic Council, and director of numerous state events.
Actress, director and educator Nazakat Gaziyeva is the wife of director Arif Gaziyev.
