Nijat Kazimov was born in Shabran (Devachi).

He studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1991-1996, course of Aliabbas Gadirov) and the Baku branch of the Norwegian University of Psychology.

Since 1993, he has worked as an actor at the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators and Bakhtiyar Khanizadeh's Pantomime Studio. Since 1996, he has been working as both an actor and a director at the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators.

He starred in the Polish-made film "The Seagull".

He has appeared in commercials and music videos, and has hosted television programs.

As the director of the Windsor Royal Horse Show organized in honor of Elizabeth II in Great Britain, he was awarded the medal "For Services in the Field of Military Cooperation" (2018).

He is an Honored Artist (2013).

Actor, director Nijat Kazimov is the father of actor Sanan Kazimov.
