Nina Yarovaya was born in Baku.
She worked at the Azerbaijan State Television since its inception in 1956 and was the first editor of the Russian-language program on the channel. At the same time, she worked for many years as the editor-in-chief of the documentary and scientific-popular films association at the “Azerbaijanfilm” Film Studio. After moving to Israel, she continued her activities in the field of journalism, working as a correspondent for the Israeli State Radio Channel (REKA). She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Israel-Azerbaijan International Association.
Nina Yarovaya, a laureate of the State Prize, died in Israel in 2013.
