Nurlana Jafarova

Nurlana Jafarova was born in Baku.

She is a philologist by profession.

In 2006, she started working at 106.3 FM radio as the winner of the Azad Azerbaijan television competition. In the same year, she continued to work at 106 FM radio. During her time at the radio, she interviewed many world stars. Since 2007, she has been the host of the programs “TOP 10”, “ATV club”, “ATV morning”, “FreeZone” on Azad Azerbaijan television. In 2016, she started working on Azerbaijani television. She was the host of the programs “Baku nights”, “Meeting place” of the Culture channel, “Betting square” of the Sports Azerbaijan channel. Since 2017, she has worked as the editor-in-chief of the Music and Entertainment programs editorial office of Azerbaijan television.

He worked as an event host for the 2016 Formula 1 race, and as an English commentator for boxing and wrestling at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2017. He was selected as one of the 5 jury members for Azerbaijan at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal. He was the host of the “7th Mugham Television Contest 2019”.

For a while, he lived in Izmir, Turkey, due to family circumstances.

Since 2023, he has been working on public television, hosting the “Dikdaban” program. He is a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest.
