Sardar Gozalov was born in Neftchala.
He studied at the Directing Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1999-2003).
He worked as a screenwriter and director at Space TV (2005-2011), an actor at the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater (2012), and the director of the Mirzaga Aliyev House of Culture (2013). In 2014, he founded the Baku Shadow Theater. He is the director of the Baku Children and Youth Theater.
He is also engaged in poetry reading.
