Shirzad Fataliyev was born in the village of Muganli, Shamakhi region.
He received his first music lessons from his father, master Nizam Fataliyev. He studied at the Shamakhi Music School. He has been engaged in music since the age of 13.
He teaches at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
He is an Honored Artist.
