Tarana Aliyeva was born in Baku.
She graduated from Baku State University with a degree in Philology (2003), and from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in Theater and Film Acting (2009).
She worked at the Planet Parni iz Baku KVN Theater, the Azerbaijan State Song Theater, SOY Production, and Oksimedia Production. She was a presenter and producer at ATV and Space TV. She is an actress at the Shusha State Drama Theater.
