Ulvi Gasimov was born in Baku.
He studied directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1986-1993).
He acted as an actor in films and the film magazine "Mozalan" (1985) as a child. Since 2012, he has been working as a producer in films shot at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio.
He was the executive producer of the Azerbaijani filming of the French film "United Passions" (2014, directed by Frederic Auburtin).
He is the producer of numerous commercials, music videos and films, concert programs and events.
Producer Ulvi Gasimov is the son of actor Tariyel Gasimov.
