Vugar Mammadzadeh was born in Baku.

He studied at the College of Music under the Azerbaijani Academy of Music in the specialty of tar performance and composition (2011-2015), at the Baku Academy of Music in the specialty of composition and conducting (2015-2019), and at the Baku Academy of Music in the specialty of composition (2021-2022).

For his bravery during the 44-day Patriotic War, he was awarded the medals "Brave Warrior", "For the Liberation of Fuzuli", "For the Liberation of Gubadli", "For the Liberation of Shusha", and "Participant of the Patriotic War". He was awarded a diploma at the "Nizami Romance" Republican Competition - Festival among young composers organized within the framework of the "Year of Nizami" (2021).

He has been composing in the audiovisual field since 2019.

He was the composer of the series "The Rise of the Ottoman Empire" (2020-2022, directed by Emre Şahin), which was broadcast on the Netflix platform.
