Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva

Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Theater Director's Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1985-1989).

In 1988, she participated in the "Baku Autumn-88" competition and reached the finals. In 1994, she began performing in Vagif Gerayzadeh's "Aypara" group. After leaving the group, she began her solo career. In 1999, her first clip - "Demurya" - was released, a year later her first studio album - "Gecya" - was released, and in the same year she performed with her first solo concert at the Palace of the Republic.

She is an Honored Artist (2003), People's Artist (2008).
